KoolWire is a new and wonderful email based file conversion service to help you convert your Microsoft Word (.doc), Powerpoint (.ppt), Excel Spreadsheets (.xls) or even pictures into Adobe PDF documents.
Just compose a new email message, attach document(s) that have to be converted into PDF and send the email to pdf@koolwire.com. The PDF file(s) should arrive in your inbox the next moment.
The big advantage is that Koolwire PDF converter requires no software installation and, unlike Google Docs or PDFOnline, you don't have to upload documents to any webserver in order to print them as PDF - just send them across as email attachments. PDF creation couldn't be simpler.
Best of all, you can attach multiple documents / images to the same email message and Koolwire will batch convert them into PDF. Don't think any free PDF writer software offers such a convenient option to create multiple PDFs in one go.

Yes, yes. Be suspicious of uploading it to a Google server but apparently I must be oblivious to the risks involved in EMAILING it to an unknown email address.

Hey Amit;
Don't you think that e-mailing stuff would mean that you are sending some personal information to someone ?
IMHO, it would be better to get doPdf or pdfcreator. Atleast, the user has full control over his/her data !!

Shyam, Anon - here's what their privacy policy reads like:
If you are concerned with your privacy, please note that we DO NOT manually open or store any of the files we receive for conversion. Your files will only be opened once by an automated procedure and then immediately deleted.
Yes, the desktop software gives you more control and better privacy but this service could come handy when you need urgent PDF conversion and the computer has no tools.

I've tried it too and it works simply great. Pure web 2.0 (or should we say mail 2.0?) style: softwareless, fast and FREE!

It is a nice concept to send email and receive the pdf file, but is not suited for confidential matters, on the other hand the sofware primopdf which is a freeware is in my opinion the best PDF printer, which can print from any application to PDF and also with high quality. And the best thing is it is easy to use. and we can append more text when we want into it. So if you have not tried it uptil now do give it a try.
