Nokia Open: Cellphone inspired by Japanese folding fan

Nokia OpenFolding fans have served a dual purpose for woman in China and Japa - they are seen as a status symbol and a useful ornament.

Inspired by the delicate but thoughtful design of hand fans, Hugo Danti has created a design of a mobile phone called Nokia Open that opens just like a fan.

It incorporates a scrollable lcd screen, with touch screen technology and allows to adjust the space on screen to each function you want to use like video conference and internet navigation at the same time. One main button controls the primary functions. All others are accessible on the screen.

The design is still on paper and don't expect Nokia to market it anytime soon.
