Google Video introduces YouTube style features

The entry of AOL in video uploading market and increasing competition from YouTube has forced Google back to the drawing board.

Google has already decided to implement some very significant changes in the video service to make it more appealing than Youtube.

First, you are not required to download the Google Video Uploader to upload videos - you can do so directly from the web based interface.

The other most important change is that users can choose to bypass the Video Verification step. Google Videos would appear instantly on their Video website the moment you upload them.

Like other verified Google videos, the web address of the uploaded video can be shared for immediate viewing or embedding in webpages, but it won't be searchable through Google Video's search page until editors review it.

Previously, people had to use the Google Video Uploader program to submit video and had to wait for the submission to be verified and go through an editorial review.
