The Text Link Ads program can now be used to sell links on your blogspot blogs hosted on the new Blogger.com platform. Unfortunately, if you are still on the old Blogger platform, the TLA script will not work for you since it makes use the new RSS Page Elements style to add the ad code to the blog.
Integrating Text Link Ads inside Blogger is extremely simple. Assuming that your site is approved for advertising by the TLA team, get the XML ad code from their website by choosing Blogger language (slightly weird but they call Blogger a language)
Goto your Template Layout inside www2.blogger.com and choose Page Elements and stick the code. Save the changes and you are done.

You will immediately receive an email from TLA if the ad script is integrated successfully in blogger. There will be a test ad now on your site, reading, "Test Link Ad" that will disappear in a few hours.
2007 will be a big year for Text Link Ads because with Blogger integration, they now have so much extra space to expose their ad inventory. More publishers, more advertisers, more money.

Hi Amit,
Thanks for the above article. I've been your site subscriber from past few days and you write good stuff about the blogs. I need to know whether you are using the new blogger or still using the old blogger? If you have switched to new blogger can you share information about the issues you faced when switching? I also do have a blog site and wanted to switch but I want to be careful. Meanwhile I do have one more question. Freedictionary provides daily articles, news and quote of the day to any site you wish by pasting the code provided by them. Would it be a violation of the google terms and condition for their search engine and adsense?

I doubt this will make an impact for the bloggers at blogger. Most bloggers on blogger do not have a high traffic that will enable them to monetize their blogs with TLA.
Also unless you are a high-profile blogger, I doubt that advertisers will bother to pay TLA to display their links on blogger blogs.

Well here is the problem I am seeing. I don't want to use new widget template but stick to classic template instead. I can add the feed page element for TLA but I don't understand how to add TLA code for classic template. If it's not possible, then that sucks. If I wanna use TLA then I would need to find out way to add code (Like Post to Digg etc) in post-body of blog post.

I tried submitting my Blogger URL and it said 'invalid domain' or something similar. I don't think it's quite as simple as you make out!

I added my site yesterday...
My site is only 3 months old, so I had to wait till the latest PR update, and I am now PR 4.
The only problem, is the widget goes on every page of the site, so I don't see how you can sell single page ads...
Email me at mhblatt(at)gmail.com if you know.
