All individual software programs of Microsoft Office 2007 Ultimate including Microsoft Office Professional 2007, Visio 2007, Groove 2007, Project 2007, Infopath 2007 and OneNote 2007 software can now be downloaded directly from Microsoft Technet or MSDN Subscriber website as ISO images.
The individual downloads were made available just a couple of hours ago (notice the time in the screenshot above).
The final version of Windows Vista is still awaited. Same goes for Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 which is scheduled for release in the second quarter of 2007.
I will try to write some Office 2007 Tips & Tricks once the 1 GB+ transfer is done.
Update: Jason Tsang informs us that TechNet and MSDN subscribers will be able to download Windows Vista starting November 17, 2006.
Update: The full versions of Office 2007 Ultimate and other Office editions are only available for download with TechNet or MSDN subscriptions. Once the download is over, you can request the Office 2007 product keys from the Subscription Management page itself.
Office 2007 Professional ISO Image is over 400 MB while OneNote 2007 and Visio Professional 2007 are in the 200+ MB range. You would need a software like ISO blaster to installed Office from the ISO CD Images.
Update: I am an official Microsoft Office 2007 user now. The installation of Office 2007, Visio 2007 and OneNote 2007 was extremely smooth and was completed in a couple of minutes. While I didn't have a chance to explore the new Office in detail, a small problem is that you have to be online to access the Office 2007 help system. There were no offline help files for any of the Office 2007 programs. Maybe, Microsoft would supply them on the Office 2007 installation DVD.
