September 24, 2003: Jason Calacanis launches Weblogs, Inc.

April 7, 2005: Weblogs, Inc. blogs generate $1,000 a day from Adsense alone.

October 5, 2005: Jason sells his blog company to AOL for $30-35 million.

April 29, 2006: Weblogs, Inc launches Blogging Stocks in association with AOL Money & Finance.

June 15, 2006: Jason relaunches Netscape portal on the lines of Digg.

November 8, 2006: AOL acquires Blogsmith from Jason for around $4-5 million

November 17, 2006: Jason quits AOL saying he is not inclined to start over with a new guy.

November 28, 2006: Jason celebrates his 36^th birthday. Has Rupert Murdoch already planned a birthday present for Jason ? Wait n' watch. Sorry, no breakthrough.

December 05, 2006: Jason joins Sequoia. Fred Wilson feels that Jason won't stay there for long - "Because god knows he's got 20 ideas in his mind for his next startup. Jason is an entrepreneur, not a VC. At least not yet."
