Fortunately, you don't have to upgrade to Vista to run any of these Vista specific screen savers. The good folks at JoeJoe have ported these popular Vista screensavers to run on Windows XP or even previous versions like Win 2000.

Just download the above file and unzip the .scr screensaver files in your Windows installation directory [defaults to c:\Windows] - The instructions to customize the various settings of these screensavers are mentioned in the text files attached with each Vista screensaver.

i tried to play around with the registry editor to make Bubbbles screensaver show up against desktop, but it still shows a black background and the bubbles are surrounded in black squares. can someone help me?

i have the same problem with not showing the desktop background. is there a fix for this?

Yes. I had the same issue. I updated my driver for my video card and it solved everything. If you update your driver and you are still seeing a black background, it's time to get a new video card.

Mystify just comes up as the old version of Mystify.

For the Mystify, Change the name of the .scr file to something else, like MindBoggle and it will show up in the menu as such, be sure to log off and lag back on, that helps solve a lot of probelms.
