A new child is born in India every two seconds but in that same time-space, four new blogs are added to the blogosphere. So the blog growth rate is now almost four times the Indian population growth rate. This factor was 2x an year ago.
David Sifry today released Technorati State of the Blogosphere report which confirms the rising boom in the blogosphere. Some facts from the CEO report on blogs:
» English is again the dominant language of Blogs surpassing Japanese.
» 1.6 Million blog posts are published each day, or about 18.6 posts per second.
» Maximum blog posts are between the hours of 10AM and 2PM Pacific time, with an additional spike at around 5PM Pacific time.
» Technorati is now tracking over 50 Million Blogs (This blog ranks 786 on Technorati)
» Most influential weblogs are being treated in much the same way as traditional MSM, as measured by the number of bloggers who are linking to them.
