As expected, Google is now allowing video uploads using a web based form much like YouTube or SelfCastTV.
The only caveat is that if the size of your video file exceeds 100 MB, you have to use the video uploader software. The video almost immediately appears on Google Video website with status as being verified. It is however available for sharing or embedding.
Google accepts video in AVI, ASF, QuickTime, Windows Media and MPEG formats, but not Flash files like FLV or SWF. Video codecs accepted include H.264, H.263, MPEG 1/2/4 and motion JPEG. The content has to be more than 10 seconds long while the frame rate should be above 12 frames per second.
