Interestingly, the Picasa Referral buttons do not use the term Picasa in any of the graphic buttons or text links - instead, the banner says "Get Photo Software from Google" and "Google's photo software. It's what should've come with your camera" Looks like Google plans to drop the original name Picasa derived from Picasa, Inc - the company that actually wrote the photo software. Google did the same with Urchin and renamed it to Google Analytics.
When someone downloads Google Pack and installs the product, you'll receive up to US$2 in your account. In the case of Google Picasa, when the user runs the product for the first time, you get US$1.
Google Pack is currently available only to US Publishers while Picasa is available in almost all languages. #

I wish Google would let users use custom buttons and graphics to promote their referral programs. Their buttons are so generic and ugly. Everyone knows what they look like and they get almost zero clicks. They allow Adsense advertisers to customize the layout and colors of their contextual text ads, why don't they do the same for their buttons?
