The MP3 player market is witnessing a new kind of war - Apple and Creative, the two major players, are fighting each other in the US courts.First, Creative sued Apple claiming that the navigational menu used for finding and playing music on the iPod, violates its patent for its own Zen MP3 player.
Little did we imagine that Apple was prepared for a counter-attack the same day. Apple has retaliated by filing a lawsuit against Creative Technology for the same crime - patent infringement.
As far as statistics goes, Apple iPod controls 77 percent of the U.S. market, compared with less than 10 percent for Creative.
