Sony PS3 Prices, PS3 Release Date Announced

George Fornay, a senior Sony executive, leaked the PS3 release date and hinted at the PS3 price range during an interview on French radio station Europe 1.

Fornay confirmed that the PlayStation 3 would be launched in France, and presumably the rest of Europe, in November this year. Fornay also indicated the price range of PlayStation 3. PS3 will be available for around €500 [$613], in the range of €499 to €599 [$612 to 734].

Fornay insisted that the [infamous] Sony PS3 delay was due to last minute changes to the Blu-Ray format’s copy protection.
